A case for why over-preparation is inefficient
Let's say you want to get as good as possible, as fast as possible, what would you do?
If you were to stay back and over-prepare for the sake of "practice," you'd be dumb.
Why?
There's a possibility you can get better faster by simply moving to the next stage.
Certain concepts are faster to learn once you stick your feet inside the water. It's not that you couldn't learn these concepts by staying back. It's just that it is literally more efficient to get your feet wet.
You can only learn so much about swimming by reading a book.
No point in jacking off inside your own echo chamber.
