Subjective Cues
Subjective cues are NOT reliable.
What you think is true doesn't matter.
If you haven't trained how to relate subjective cues to real world outcomes, then anything you think or feel is not reliable data.
Trust your measuring tools instead.
Think you're pronouncing something incorrectly? Feel the subjective sensations in your mouth and think they're wrong? None of this is reliable.
Think you've slept badly? Feel groggy or think you didn’t get enough sleep in the morning? None of this is reliable.
Think a dopamine fast isn't working? Feel anhedonia or apathy and assume it's doing nothing? None of this is reliable.
Think you're making no progress with exercise? Think your body looks the same or that you're improving slowly? None of this is reliable.
When subjective sensations aren't reliable, you have 1 of 2 options:
- Get a measuring tool
- Stick to the plan and shut the fuck up
