Disadvantages and Tips About Systems
Disadvantages
manual work:
-can make a lot of resources, but it's limited in the amount of resources it can possibly make
-as soon as you stop working you will stop gaining resources
-repetitive
-tiring
-easy to lose momentum
systems:
-they are expensive
-slow to get going
-create cognitive overload
-require management (if done incorrectly)
notes: If systems are set up incorrectly, they create complexity, jitteriness and rigidness. It'll be harder to find clarity once you have systems than when you had nothing. Systems are a waiting game.
defining the different stages...
Stage #1 (no systems) grind
Find what gets you the highest return of investemnt in relation to effort and choose that. Do it, scale it, and wait.
Stage #2 (basic systems) grind/investment
Invest the resources that you have, and set up your initial systems.
Stage #3 (initial high-level systems) investment
Set up higher level systems using your passive resources from your initial systems. You can speed up the process supplementing with extra manual work or choose to simply wait.
Stage #4 (final high-level systems) investment/management
Finding new goals and working on harder (bigger) problems becomes your primary concern and workday. At this stage manual work becomes redundant (unnecessary). You'll spent most of your time here. And this will be the most fun. Good luck.
